We’re kicking off the year in Prague at the historical Gabriel Loci venue on March 29. Choosing Prague for our only European event of the year was a no-brainer - with its deep-rooted coffee culture, its modern-day café scene blends tradition with contemporary coffee trends in a way which resonates with us. Plus, with hundreds of speciality cafes roasters in the city, this is the perfect time to visit one of Europe’s most interesting coffee scenes.

 In this event, 20 of Europe’s best baristas will take to the stage to compete for the title of the first-ever champions of The Barista League: Europe, with judging provided by a line-up of VIP special guests - including Sonja Björk Grant, Eira Scheper, and Vladyslav Demonenko.

 So, what do you do if you’re not competing? At most coffee competitions, you might grab a beer and watch from the sidelines. Not here. At The Barista League attendees are invited to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty: join the judges on stage as a Mystery Customer, try out the competition set-up at the Espresso Bar, taste your way through the Brew Bar, or try your hand at games and challenges - this is not your standard barista competition.
