PRIVACY POLICY

The Barista League isn’t interested in data collection beyond what we need to do our jobs for you.  

If you are a guest, volunteer or registered team member of one of events we may collect some or all of the following data from you: Name, Contact Email Address, Phone Number, Responses to surveys and Photo. We collect this information to help us organize and report on each event. This data is kept for 2 years then archived after being anonymized and data being deleted as per the rules of the GDPR. We also use cookies (through our 3rd party partner Klaviyo) to be able to send you event information.

We also collect data from anyone that purchases items from our web shop. This can include your address, transaction information, IP address, email and phone number. This information is used to fulfill our contract with you: to ship goodies to you. We also keep copies of all financial transactions for a period of 7 years in order to comply with Swedish financial law. 

Our website host Squarespace also uses cookies to collect analytics about how people use our website. You can see their cookie policy here.

We may pass on your data to third parties in the case where you have purchased an event ticket that requires shipping. For example a sponsor may provide a tasting pack to a premium ticket for a digital event. In this case we will share the minimum information in order for the shipping to take place and the data will be held securely under the privacy policy of that third party.

Outside of this example, we do not pass along your personal data to any third parties, but we do use several 3rd party apps as data processors. These include Squarespace, Ticket Tailor, Klaviyo, Airtable and Microsoft (you can find their privacy policies by clicking on their names).

All personal information that we collect (that is not needed for legal compliance) will be held securely for a time period of 2 years after the completion of each event, then it will be deleted from our databases.
